MERLOT is the most represented in the variety of the region. Its distinctive bouquet of forest fruits and mown grass, gives the wine its special charm. Intense cherry tone color, from red to carmine, high extract and harmonious fruit flavor, gives  this wine the universal drinkability. With the processes of aging, it becomes one of the noble varieties of wine; it loses its varietal character, on the other hand,it acquires odor elegance and noble taste (smell of dried plums, jams, coffee, vanilla, tobacco, leather, etc.). With proper determination of technological maturity and processing treatments and care, this wine keeps strong structure and stability of the taste. 

Organoleptic description:
Premium wine, dark ruby red color with a fruity aroma that is reminiscent of cherry, raspberry, blackberry and mulberry; rounded with aromas of vanilla, ripe plums, coffee and pastry crust. The taste is smooth, full-bodied, with soft tannins and a sweet expression of the long and warm pleasant departure (aftertaste). 

Sommelier's recommendation: 
Merlot goes perfectly with the dishes of pork, venison, beef and medium mature cheeses. Especially recommended: ravioli with prosciutto, tomatoes and garlic, lamb with onions and dried tomatoes and chicken stew with peppers, potatoes and olives. With maturation in bottle (1-2 years) the wine obtains fine and velvety taste.
